Support and limits

A friend needs directions, someone wants to see a photo, or you lend your iPad for a video. Restrict the apps you want to keep private. With VIP Guest Mode, choose the apps that remain available. Check both an allowed app and a restricted app before handing over your device.

If protection does not behave as expected

Keep Screen Time authorization enabled, review the selected apps and current rules, then test again. If an allowed or restricted app behaves unexpectedly, do not rely on the setup when lending your device. Use the App Store listing to find the developer’s support details.

Before you rely on it

Requires iPhone or iPad with iOS/iPadOS 17 or later and Screen Time authorization. After setup, test that your selected apps are restricted.

Know the limits

Background protection changes may be delayed by iOS. Check the current protection state before lending your device. App restrictions do not encrypt files, redact shared content or guarantee that notifications and all traces are hidden. Guest Mode requires VIP. It is not a separate iOS user account. Content inside allowed apps remains accessible: allowing Photos does not show only selected photos. Restrictions can change if settings or Screen Time authorization change. Guest Mode has not been verified here on a physical device. It does not create an isolated iOS guest account or separate app data; no isolation or bypass-proof guarantee is made.

Start with one app

Download and try protection for one selected app without creating an account. Unlock multi-app management, Guest Mode and advanced rules, plus premium themes and alternate icons. Check your App Store for current plans and regional prices. VIP offers lifetime, monthly and annual options. Monthly and annual plans are subscriptions, not lifetime purchases. Availability, renewal terms and prices follow the current local App Store.

Your settings stay on your device

No app account, backend server, advertising or analytics SDK. Your PIN and configuration stay on-device.
